Sixth week

26 maart 2018 - Grasmere, Verenigd Koninkrijk

Here we go again!

I was supposed to go back to the hotel this week but my mum called and told me that she’ll come to London. I was over-joyed because I haven’t seen her in six weeks. I had already booked my ticket to Windermere but before I cancelled my ticket I talked with the manager whether it’s fine to take a few more days off. I was lucky because he told me that it’s not very busy at the hotel so I can take a few days off.

My mum told me that she has to take the flight from Amsterdam and I went to pick her. In the meantime as I was expecting here to arrive at Luton airport, I got a text message from my brother that the flight has been delayed for two more hours. I was a bit pissed but she can’t do anything about it. So two hours later I picked her up from the airport and I was very happy to see her.

It was the first time that has visited England so we went for some sightseeing. Unfortunately she could visit us for six days. Time flies as they say. But still I could see her was more than enough.

For my research I thought I could try and visit some schools here around. London is a big city with a lot of schools so I went on a quest to approach schools. I have visited at least ten schools here. Most of them didn’t want me to visit them but two schools fortunately responded with positive reaction. The more schools I can approach the better it is for my research.

The disadvantage to approach many schools is I have to contact each and every time my university to provide the schools with the necessary information. But I have no other choice but to do it. I hope to visit the schools soon.
