Tenth week

24 april 2018 - Grasmere, Verenigd Koninkrijk

So it was quite a depressing week because I’m all alone again. Romee had to leave the Lancrigg on the 20th. We had gone through ups and downs at the Lancrigg but we were side by side which made us both stronger. Now I have to stay for three more weeks on my own. A lot of friends of mine which I made at the hotel left but on the other hand I’ll gain more experience on my own.

It’s a lovely day and fortunately it’s my day off. To turn this day into a productive day, I decided to visit Wordsworth’s grave. There’s a small church which was built in 652  by Oswald of Northumbria. William Wordsworth was a devout christian and a regular church goer. William Wordsworth is buried in the churchyard in the centre of Grasmere village.

At the grave site there are a few yew trees. At least eight of them are planted by William Wordsworth. At the graveyard you’ll find almost all of William’s family members who are buried there.

Alright! So I’ve heard good news. The school in London where I applied for to visit for a day has replied. The Michaela Community College has given me a date to visit the school for one day. It is great news, which means I can finally conduct my research. But the disadvantage is I have to travel for five hours from Grasmere to London.
